FAQ

Products & Manufacturing

Where are your products made?

Right here in Melbourne. While we source select premium components from trusted international suppliers, every piece is handcrafted and assembled by our own local artisans at our Preston factory. Electroplating is completed by specialist local partners, with all other finishing, assembly and quality control handled in-house. We control the process from start to finish.

This level of in-house capability means we can offer customisation that simply isn’t available elsewhere in the industry. Custom profiles, bespoke finishes, modified configurations. If you can specify it, we can most likely make it. That’s not something you’ll get from an importer or a reseller.

What finishes are available?

We offer over 40 signature finishes across four categories, many of which are exclusive to Par Taps and cannot be found elsewhere.

  • Electroplated: consistent, refined finishes using genuine metals such as 23K gold, chrome and nickel. Includes Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Matt Nickel, Gunmetal, Brushed Gunmetal, Volcanic Grey, Luminick, Black Sapphire, Midnight Black, Matt Black, 23K Gold, 23K Brushed Gold, 23K Brushed Brass Gold, Brushed Rose Gold and Satin Pearl.

  • Living: intentionally unsealed finishes that develop natural patina and character over time. Each piece is one-of-a-kind. Includes Brass, Brushed Brass, Native Brass, Vintage Brass, Rumbled Brass, Burnished, Copper, Brushed Copper, Antique Copper and Antique Bronze. Living Finishes carry specific care and warranty conditions, which our team will walk you through before purchase.

  • Protected Living: living finishes stabilised with Oxi Guard, our proprietary in-house coating, which retains the original tone for longer with less maintenance. Includes Autumn Bronze, Oud Bronze, Sea Spray, Forest Mist and Umber Earth.

  • Architectural: durable powder-coated colours, available on request, in tones from White, Matt White and Ivory through to Sienna Red, Lagoon Blue, Blu Sage and Victoria Green.

Explore every finish on our Finishes page. The best way to choose is still to see them in person at our showroom, where you can compare options under real lighting and against your project materials. Visit our showroom.

Where can I find product specifications and CAD drawings?

Full specifications, dimensions and downloadable CAD drawings are available on each individual product page. If you need additional technical documentation for your project, contact our team at info@partaps.com.au.

We offer two types of trade accounts for qualified businesses:

  • Trading Account: gives you access to trade and wholesale pricing. To apply, contact our team with your ABN and business details.

  • Credit Account: gives you trade and wholesale pricing plus credit terms. Requires a completed credit application.

To discuss which account type is right for your business, contact us at info@partaps.com.au or call +61 3 9484 0960.

Lead Times & Delivery

What is the lead time for my order?

Because we manufacture in-house, our lead times are among the fastest in the industry, and unlike off-the-shelf imported products, every piece can be customised to your project specifications. Lead times vary depending on the product and finish, so contact our team for an accurate timeline for your specific order.

For builders and contractors, rough-in components are available for most products to keep your project on schedule while finished goods are being completed. This also protects the final finish from potential damage during the installation process by other trades on site.

If you have an urgent requirement, we may be able to offer an express service. Contact our team to discuss.

For the most accurate lead time on your specific project, we recommend visiting our showroom where our team can review your requirements and provide a detailed timeline. Book an appointment.

Do you deliver Australia-wide?

Yes. We deliver throughout Australia. We believe transparency is essential, so shipping costs are calculated and shown separately during checkout or on your invoice based on your location and the items ordered.

All orders attract a packing, delivery and/or freight fee unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Yes. You can collect your order from our Melbourne factory. Collections must be scheduled with our team once your order is confirmed as ready. We’ll notify you when it’s available and arrange a suitable collection time.

Our Showroom & Experience

Do you have a showroom?

Yes. Our showroom is located at our factory in Melbourne, where you can experience our full range of tapware, mixers and accessories across all 40+ finishes.

With more than 80 years of combined industry experience across our team, no one knows our products better than we do. Unlike order-takers at third-party retailers, our staff are the people who design, manufacture and finish these products every day. When you visit our showroom, you’re getting advice from the source, not a middleman.

We strongly encourage you to book an appointment so we can dedicate uninterrupted time to your project. Whether you’re a homeowner, designer, architect or builder, a showroom visit is the best way to see, touch and compare our finishes before you commit. Book your showroom appointment.

Why should I visit the showroom instead of ordering online?

Colour, texture and finish are impossible to fully appreciate on a screen. Our showroom lets you see the true depth and tone of each finish under real lighting, feel the weight and quality of the product in your hand, and compare options side by side.

More importantly, our team can advise on finish compatibility, technical specifications, installation considerations, and lead times for your specific project. With over 80 years of combined experience in the industry, we can help you avoid costly mistakes and find the right solution the first time. Make an appointment.

Returns & Aftersales Support

What is your returns policy?

If your product arrives with a defect or damage, please notify us in writing within 5 working days of delivery. We will arrange an inspection and, where the issue is confirmed, we will repair, replace or refund the product in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Returns of non-defective goods may be accepted at our discretion and may be subject to a restocking fee plus any applicable freight costs. All returned goods must be in original, unused condition.

Products that have been installed, used, modified or damaged after delivery are not eligible for return unless covered by a statutory consumer guarantee.

What about Living Finishes?

Living Finishes are hand-applied and designed to naturally develop character and patina over time. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and will vary in appearance. That’s by design, not by defect.

Our full product warranty applies to the operation and function of all Living Finish products. However, due to their handcrafted nature, cosmetic changes over time are not covered under warranty.

Before purchasing a Living Finish, we require all clients to review and acknowledge our Living Finish Disclosure Statement, which outlines the characteristics and care requirements. Our team will walk you through this at the time of purchase.

We strongly recommend viewing Living Finishes in person at our showroom before ordering, as photographs cannot fully capture the unique variations in these finishes. Visit our showroom.

What warranty do you offer?

All Par Taps products are backed by our comprehensive warranty, which covers the operation and function of every product we manufacture. Warranty terms and conditions vary depending on the product and finish type.

For full warranty details, visit our Warranty & Care page.

How do I care for my Par Taps products?

Care requirements differ depending on your finish type. Electroplated, Living, Protected Living and Architectural finishes each have specific cleaning and maintenance guidelines to ensure your products perform and look their best over time.

For detailed care instructions, visit our Warranty & Care page.
