At Par Taps, our story is grounded in craftsmanship, practical knowledge, and a strong family foundation values that continue to shape how we design and manufacture tapware today.

The business traces back to a family journey to Australia, where the foundations were built through hard work and a commitment to creating something long-lasting. Settling in North Melbourne, the next generation Paul and Joe grew up immersed in a hands-on environment that would later define their careers.

Paul developed his skills in plumbing, focusing on precision, installation, and performance. Joe built his experience within the bathroom industry, specialising in sales and customer relationships. Together, they combined technical expertise with industry insight to establish Pardol, the starting point of what would become Par Taps.

The business began in a garage in North Melbourne, supplying reliable, functional tapware designed for everyday use. With a strong understanding of trade requirements, early products focused on durability, ease of installation, and long-term performance qualities that quickly gained trust within the industry.

As demand grew, the range expanded to include imported Italian mixers and showers. This introduced a new level of design detail and product performance, helping position the business within a more design conscious market.

Evolving Through Design and Innovation

Over time, design became a key focus. Par Taps introduced colour finished tapware and expanded into more refined, decorative ranges. Collections such as Tudor and Bell established a balance between classic styling and modern functionality an approach that continues across our product lines today.

Technical improvements also played a major role in the company’s growth. The introduction of high-quality internal components, including Italian ceramic disc cartridges, improved performance, reliability, and user experience across the range.

To support this growth, a purpose-built manufacturing facility was established in Preston, allowing for greater control over production and quality.

Each product is hand-finished by experienced technicians, ensuring consistency across finish, assembly, and overall quality. This approach supports not only product durability, but also the level of detail required for high-end design applications.

Today, our range includes over 40 finishes and 17+ collections, with customisation options available to adjust both aesthetics and selected design elements.

This allows our products to integrate seamlessly into a wide range of residential and commercial projects.
