Living Finish Acknowledgement
What you are choosing
You have selected a living finish, a handcrafted surface that will naturally change in appearance over time, developing patina, shifting in tone, and becoming unique to your space.
This is the intended nature of the finish. It is not a defect.
What this means in practice:
- Colour and tone will shift gradually over months and years;
- No two fixtures will look identical, variation between pieces is normal;
- Frequently touched areas may develop patina faster than surrounding surfaces;
- Humidity, coastal air, and water contact will accelerate the ageing process.
Living Plus Oxiguard finishes include a protective coating that slows patina development, the finish still evolves, but more gradually.
Care and Cleaning
- Clean with a soft damp cloth only;
- Avoid bleach, acidic cleaners, or abrasive products;
- Do not use steel wool, scouring pads, or abrasive sponges;
- Use soft cotton gloves when handling during installation.
Damage from incorrect cleaning methods is not covered under warranty.
Not covered under warranty
The following are natural characteristics of living finishes and are not manufacturing defects:
- Patina development, colour shift, or tone change over time;
- Variation between fixtures in the same installation;
- Accelerated change in high-humidity or coastal environments;
- Variation from finish samples viewed at specification stage.
